Sculpture in Belgium limestone, weight 80 kilo, measures 116 cm. Inspired on the Latimeria, believed to be extinct for 30 million years. In 1938 one was caught by a South African trawler though and abouth 1250 have been caught since then, all from great depths. The fossilized stone I used was formed about 350 million years ago at the bottom of the sea, and consists of sea lilies, shell and corals which are clearly visible.
